How to Download Suno Songs as WAV
Updated August 31, 2026 · 5 minute read
WAV is the better choice when you plan to edit, master or archive a Suno creation. It is larger than MP3 but preserves audio without lossy compression.
Steps
- Publish or open your public Suno song.
- Copy its share URL.
- Paste it into our download tool.
- Choose WAV and download the converted file.
WAV versus MP3
MP3 removes audio information to reduce file size. WAV normally stores uncompressed PCM audio, making it more suitable for a DAW, video editor or mastering workflow. Converting an already compressed source to WAV cannot recreate missing information, but WAV prevents another lossy encoding step during subsequent editing.
When WAV is worth the space
Use WAV for vocal processing, stem alignment, mastering, sample preparation and long-term project storage. Use MP3 for quick previews and convenient playback. Keep both when a project matters: WAV as the working master and MP3 as the portable copy.
Rights and metadata
File format does not change ownership. Keep the original song URL, creation details and license information with the download. Add metadata in your audio editor before distribution so collaborators can identify the correct version.
